Q: What are probiotics?
A: Probiotics are living micro-organisms that, when ingested or applied locally in sufficient numbers, provide numerous health benefits. Once in our intestines, these natural and beneficial bacteria can provide many health benefits associated with the intestines, bowel, urogenital area and immune system.

Q: How often should I consume probiotics?
A: Probiotics are only ‘visitors’ in your intestine and will usually disappear  when not consumed regularly. A daily dose of probiotics is recommended to maintain a healthy intestinal environment.

Q: I bought a product from a pharmacy but the lid label looks different from the one that I have at home. Is it a genuine Life-Space product?
A: From time to time the Life-Space labels may be updated. If you are unsure if your Life-Space product is genuine please check with your pharmacist.

Q: Are probiotics suitable for babies and young children?
A: Probiotics can be consumed at all ages. The intestinal microflora of a baby begins to develop rapidly after birth and the immune system relies on this process for healthy development. Breastfeeding, or consumption of an infant formula with Life-Space probiotics, continues to support the maintenance of a baby’s intestinal microflora. Probiotics help to support the beneficial bacteria and microbiome throughout childhood.

Q: How soon will I experience health benefits from taking probiotics?
A: Health benefits from taking probiotics may be achieved in many areas, such as immune, intestines, skin, bowel, vaginal and respiratory functions. Since everyone is different, along with the stages of their health, the time at which benefits may be noticed can vary within a population. Generally speaking, most people who have intestinal related health condition may report benefits within a day or so. Constipation is one condition where benefits may be experienced quicker however relief also dependents on the individual drinking adequate water and consuming adequate dietary fibre.

Q: What are the benefits of taking probiotics when taking antibiotics?
A: Most research shows that probiotics should be taken during and also 1-2 weeks post antibiotic therapy to assist in the restoration of the intestinal microflora and minimize the opportunity for antibiotic-related side effects. Probiotics may assist in maintaining healthy digestive flora following the use of antibiotics. We recommend that you take  probiotics at least two hours before or after your antibiotic, to minimise the amount of good bacteria that may be killed by the antibiotic.

Q: Are Life-Space Probiotics suitable to consume while pregnant or breastfeeding?
A: Yes. Consuming Life-Space Probiotics regularly is suitable for both mother and baby. Life-Space Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Probiotic contains specialty types of probiotic that have been used in published medical trials and have been found to be suitable for both mother and baby.

Q: How many strains of bacteria are in Life-Space Broad Spectrum Probiotics?
A: There are up to 15 different strains of premium grade beneficial bacteria in Life-Space Probiotics.

Q: Are Life-Space Probiotics suitable for diabetics?
A: Yes, diabetics can take probiotics, however we would advise to always contact your healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns.

Q: Do Life-Space Probiotics meet Kosher and/or Halal certifications?
A: Life-Space probiotics are naturally sourced and are suitable for vegetarians, however Life-Space products are not Kosher and Halal certified.

Q: Should Life-Space Probiotics be taken with food and/or water?
A: It is recommended that Life-Space Probiotics are taken with a large glass of water. Taking Life-Space Probiotics with food is not required.

Q: Should I keep my Life-Space Probiotics in the refrigerator?
A: Life-Space probiotics do not require refrigeration and can be kept at normal room temperatures. In the past it was important that probiotics were kept in the refrigerator. However, new modern freeze drying techniques ensure that the probiotics remain viable (alive), at normal room temperatures, as long as the packaging adequately protects against moisture. The freeze drying process ensures that the  Life-Space probiotic bacteria remain dormant  until they come in contact with moisture, which normally occurs once ingested.

Q: Do Life-Space Probiotics have an expiry date?
A: Yes, the product expiry is printed on the sticker on top of the cap/lid, or on the base of the sachet cartons. An unopened jar of Life-Space Probiotics will remain viable (alive) for 2 years from the date of manufacture.

Q: What is the difference between ‘no added’ and ‘free from’?
A: The term ‘free from’ indicates that the product has undergone analytical testing to confirm the complete absence of the stated allergens. The term ‘no added’ specifies that the allergen is not added in any of the ingredients or excipients, but has not been analytically tested to confirm its complete absence. We advise that you avoid taking this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed under ‘no added’.

Shipping  & Returns FAQs

Q: How long does it take for my order to arrive?
A: Orders will be dispatched within 2 working days of being placed, unless out of stock. A confirmation email will be sent when goods have been dispatched. Delivery times will vary depending on the freight option selected. For domestic orders please allow for 2-5 business days and international 5-10 business days.

Q: What is your return policy?

A: Evolution health will accept returns within 30 days of delivery if:

  • the product is faulty or is not of acceptable quality
  • the product has been damaged during transit
  • the product does not match the purpose described or is not as described in the product description
  • the product does not correspond with a sample provided
  • the product has been sent to you incorrectly

Refunds will be processed upon the return of stock and managed within 72 hours. Please allow for 5-10 business days for the funds to be cleared by your nominated bank. International returns may take longer depending on transit return.
